Storm improve to 4-0 for first time since 1999

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Averi Baas scored twice, Hailey Kowzan tallied a goal and an assist, and the Simpson College women's soccer team improved to 4-0 for the first time in 24 seasons with a 3-1 win over Carroll (Wis.). 

QUICK HITS

  • Baas scored her first goal of the game in the 39th minute off a corner kick from Cassie Nash.
  • Simpson went into the break leading 1-0.
  • The freshman from Omaha, Neb. tallied a second goal on a cross from Hailey Kowzan less than three minutes into the second period.
  • Kowzan then scored a goal of her own off a pass from Nash in the 53rd minute, firing a wide open shot into the middle of the net.
  • Carroll (2-3) got one goal back in the 79th minute off the foot of Ally Scoma. Jo Ueland provided the assist.
