Women's soccer comes up short against UW-Platteville

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Riley Adams saved 10 shots against Wis.-Platteville, but Yamilex Jaramillo snuck two in the goal as the Simpson women's soccer team lost to the Pioneers 2-0 on Saturday.

Jaramillo scored her third and fourth goals of the season for the Pioneers (3-1), who won for the first time since the first game of the series in 1998. Jaramillo found the back of the net in the 19th and 70th minutes of the game.

The Storm (0-3-2) put eight shots on goal, including three each from Meredith Harrison and Casey Reisen, but was unable to score against goalkeeper Mariah Kennedy.

Up next: Simpson hosts Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Buxton Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
