Stump named First Team All-IIAC
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –Mackenzie Stump earned first team all-conference honors as Simpson's lone representative on the 2014 All-Iowa Conference Women's Soccer team, announced by the league office Wednesday.
2014 All-Iowa Conference Women's Soccer Team
A sophomore defender from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Stump was the Storm's do-it-all player in 2014. She led the team with four goals while anchoring the back line on defense. She made all three of her penalty kick attempts and converted both of Simpson's game-winners.
Simpson went 2-16-1 in 2014, posting a 0-6-1 record in the Iowa Conference.
IIAC Awards
Junior forward Katie Truesdale of Loras was named Offensive MVP and senior defender Erin Wilson of Luther earned Defensive MVP honors. Central head coach Mike Kobylinski was the Coach of the Year in the conference.
