INDIANOLA, Iowa - Kristin Riley tied a school record with 17 saves but Liz Daniels spoiled Senior Night at Buxton Stadium, the game-winner in the 110th minute to give Central a 1-0 win over Simpson on Tuesday night.

Daniels headed in a corner kick from Abby Hillmer with 20 seconds left in the second overtime for the Dutch (10-4-3, 5-1-1 Iowa Conference), who closed the regular season on a five-game winning streak and finished second in the league standings.

Riley made 11 of her 17 saves in the second half and overtime, inclulding stopping a penalty kick in the first overtime. She tied the school record set by Ashley Wilson in 2000.

Mackenzie Stump generated a dangerous scoring opportunity for the Storm (2-16-1, 0-6-1) in the first overtime when she bent a free kick on frame. Central keeper Sydney Lunardi punched at the offering, though, deflecting it off the crossbar to keep Simpson off the scoreboard.

Simpson did not qualify for the IIAC Tournament.

Notes: Simpson recognized seniors Heather Adolph, Amber Johnson and Alex Stucky before the game as the trio played their final game at Buxton Stradium.
