Women's soccer falls to Coe in closing minutes
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Kristin Riley had another big day in goal but the Simpson women's soccer team couldn't hold an early lead, losing to Coe 2-1 on Saturday.
Sarah Fathallah scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute for the Kohawks (7-8, 2-3 Iowa Conference), who scored twice in the last 17 minutes to earn the win.
Riley had her sixth, double-digit save effort for the Storm (2-13-1, 0-4-1), making 10 in the loss.
Casey Reisen scored the first goal of the match, giving Simpson a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute.
Kelsey Fauser came up with the equalizer in the 74th minute.
