DES MOINES, Iowa - Simpson hung with Grand View for 45 minutes before falling 8-0 in women's soccer action on Wednesday night at Cownie Complex.
Kristin Riley made 10 saves for the Storm (0-4), who have suffered a rash of injuries early in the season.
Tori Von Mende and Nicole Pirie scored two goals apiece to lead the Vikings (4-2).
The Storm hit the road this weekend beginning with a 1 p.m. meeting at Principia (Ill.) on Saturday.
