Women's soccer falls to Nebraska Wesleyan

INDIANOLA, Iowa - A handful of quality looks failed to cross the goal line as the Simpson women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback against Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday night.

Katelin Blosser and Makensie Thaller scored second-half goals for the Prairie Wolves (2-0), who outshot Simpson 17-13.

Kate Morford and Heather Adolph each put two shots on goal for the Storm (0-2), who generated opportunities but couldn't break into the scoring column.

Madi Francis had seven saves in the shutout for Nebraska Wesleyan while Kristin Riley made four for the Storm.

Game Notes: The Storm will be on the road for the next five games, begining with a trip to St. Mary (Neb.) on Saturday ... Simpson will host Westminster (Mo.) at Indianola Middle School on Sept. 19 and return to Buxton Stadium to play Waldorf on Sept. 21 ... the Westminster game is being played at the middle school due to a scheduling conflict with Indianola High School's homecoming football game.
