Storm fall to Wayne State on the road

WAYNE, Neb. - Mallory Hoyt scroed the only goal of the game in the 17th minute and Wayne State beat Simpson 1-0 on Thursday night.

Kaylie Hopper assisted on the goal for the Wildcats (3-3-1). The hosts outshot Simpson 10-5 on the night, putting four shots on goal.

The Storm (5-2-1) didn't put a shot on goal against their NCAA Division II opponents.

The Storm kick off Iowa Conference play this weekend when they travel to Cedar Rapids to take on Coe in a 1 p.m. start Saturday, Sept. 24.
