Storm beat Huntingdon at Gator Duals
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Noah Robinson polished off a perfect day to help the Simpson wrestling team beat Huntingdon 26-14 to close the Storm's trip to the Gator Duals on Saturday. Simpson lost to Millikin 44-12 and dropped a 30-24 decision to Elmhurst.
Robinson went 3-0 at 184 pounds and Kobey Bosworth went 2-0 at 174 pounds to lead the Storm (1-6). Jacob Irwin (125), Alek Ziegler (133), RJ Brown (165) and DeVaughn Scott (197) all went 2-1.
Robinson improved to 6-1 in his last seven matches, getting a pin and a major decision on Saturday. He pinned Millikin's Brendan Menacher, earned a 16-4 major over Huntingdon's Cody Dixon and edged Elmhurst's Leo Ortiz 4-3.
Bosworth blanked Huntingdon's Robbie McKenna 10-0 and earned an 11-8 decision over Elmhurst's Shawn Swiderek. He didn't compete against Millikin.
