Johnston, Brown get wins as Storm fall to top-ranked Wartburg
WAVERLY, Iowa — Zach Johnston and RJ Brown got their first wins of the season as the Simpson wrestling team fell to top-ranked Wartburg 38-10 in the Iowa Conference opener on Wednesday.
Johnston pinned Brock Rathbun at 141 pounds and Brown picked up a major decision with a 18-9 win over Trevor McLaughlin at 174 for the Storm (0-3).
Alek Ziegler wrestled to a 9-6 loss at 133 and Noah Robinson stayed within five points of fourth-ranked Tyler Lutes at 184, losing 9-4.
