Robinson leads condensed squad of Storm wrestlers at Cornell

MT. VERNON, Iowa — Resting a handful of wrestlers, Simpson sent a small squad to Cornell's Matman Invitational on Saturday in preparation for the stretch run of the season.

Noah Robinson was the Storm's top performer, going 2-2 at 184 pounds. After starting the day with a loss, he earned a win by forfeit and added a decision before ending his day with an 8-3 loss to Stevens Institute's Danny Moore 8-3. 

Jacob Irwin (125), Austin Stotts (165), Jake Mize (165) and RJ Brown (174) all picked up wins on the day.

Simpson placed 15th of 16 teams with 12 points. Augsubrg won the team competition with 191 points, followed by host Cornell. 

UP NEXT
The Storm go to the Decorah section of the Iowa Conference Duals next Saturday where they will face host Luther, Coe, Nebraska Wesleyan and Loras.
