Wrestlers compete at Regional Championship

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Simpson wrestling team finished the season at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships hosted by Loras on Saturday. Simpson placed 11th of 11 teams.

Brett Roberts went 1-2 in the 174-pound bracket to lead the Storm, who were competing in one of the toughest regions in the nation.

Roberts won his first match of the day with a 5-3 decision over Sam Apland (Central). He was bounced from the tournament with losses to Ethan Ball (Coe) and Manuel Mendoza (Dubuque).
