Gordon leads Storm at Buena Vista Fall Invitational

STORM LAKE, Iowa - Hannah Gordon carded an 85 and the Simpson women's golf team stand at 13th place out of 16 teams following day one at the Buena Vista Fall Invitational on Friday.

The Storm shot 370 and sit at 13th place after the first round on the par-72, 6,155 yard course, two strokes behind William Penn. Briar Cliff leads the tournament with a score of 327.

Gordon finishes her first round tied in 12th place with an 85 while Haley Booton finished day one two strokes behind her, tied for 18th place. Des Moines Community College's Jaime Bellingham leads with a score of 74, two strokes above par.

The Buena Vista Fall Invitational will conclude Saturday.
