A career best from Booton lands her in second place

LAMONI, Iowa - Haley Booton's shot her career best of 81 and the Storm placed in third and sixth place out of eight teams at the Graceland Invitational on Saturday.

Simpson brought two teams to the invitational and shot a 342 finishing in 3rd, a season best, and a 384 placing in sixth. Simpson placed seven strokes behind Waldorf University and Grand View University won the invitational with a 332.

Booton's career best 81 tied her in second place with Waldorf's Maria Valdes, one stroke behind Maria Mantilla of Grand View. Teammates Lydia Martin and Kelsa Berkland tied for fourth (84), one stroke behind Booton.

Simpson travels to Storm Lake for the Buena Vista Invitational next Friday to start the two day tournament. Tee off time is at noon. The Storm will also take a team to the one day Southwest CC Invitational in Creston next Friday.
