Women's golf closes IIAC Championship in sixth

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Simpson women's golf team carded a 383 in Saturday's final round to place sixth at the Iowa Conference Championship from Dubuque Golf & Country Club.

Simpson (364-358-413-383-1518) held off Dubuque (374-354-409-395-1532) for sole possession of sixth place, a position it held from the completion of the first round a week earlier.

Lesley Pearey (87-87-101-93-368) led Simpson in a tie for 21st, cutting eight strokes from Friday. Coltyn Hunter (94-89-99-91-373) carded a team-low 91, leading Simpson for the second straight day at Dubuque Golf & Country Club. She finished tied for 24th.

Allison McArtor (93-88-110-96-387) placed 28th, Holly Baiotto (90-94-103-106-393) placed 29th and Courtney Mabeus (106-98-117-103-424) placed 32nd to round out Simpson's lineup.
