Women's golf takes fourth at Graceland

LAMONI, Iowa - Coltyn Hunter fired an 85 and the Simpson women's golf team shot 377 to place fourth of five teams at the Graceland Invitational on Saturday.

Hunter shot 41 on the front nine and 44 on the back for her career-best effort. She placed eighth overall to lead the Storm.

Courtney Mabeus placed 15th, shooting a 93 (50-43). Lesley Pearey tied for 20th with a 99 (47-52), Holly Baiotto placed 22nd with a 100 (49-51) and Kelsey Van Veen tied for 24th with a 103 (53-50).

Simpson returns to action Monday, Sept. 15 when it hosts the Simpson Invitational at Indianola Country Club. Central, Coe, Des Moines Area CC, Iowa Wesleyan, Grand View, William Penn and Southwest CC will all take part in the 18-hole tournament.
