Botkins' seven 3s lead Storm past Kansas Christian

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Janey Botkins made seven 3-pointers, Noreen Morrow finished a rebound shy of a double-double and the Simpson women's basketball team rolled to a 109-72 win over Kansas Christian on Saturday. 

Botkins went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc, the most 3-pointers by a Simpson player since 2008, and the Storm (2-6) snapped a six-game losing streak. Morrow had 20 points and nine rebounds as Simpson had 12 players break into the scoring column. 

Katie Ahrenholtz, Ellen Gallagher and Amarissa Raley scored 12 points apice. Ahrenholtz added eight rebounds. 

Botkins' seven 3s were the most by a Simpson player since Amy Hamilton made eight against William Penn on Dec. 13, 2008.
