DES MOINES, Iowa – Katie Ahrenholtz came off the bench to score 13 points and grab nine rebounds, Britney Boland went for 12 and nine and the Simpson women's basketball team led from wire-to-wire in a dominating 70-42 win over AIB on Saturday.
Rachel Kaale scored 13 points on 4 of 5 shooting and Maddie Muhlenbruck added 10 points for the Storm (3-1), who never trailed.
Simpson's defense harassed AIB into 27 turnovers, turning the miscues into 21 points. Led by Ahrenhotlz, Simpson's bench dominated, nearly outscoring AIB as a team by putting up 41 points.
Gelina Webb scored 12 points and hit two 3s to lead the Eagles (3-6).
