Hedrick drops 28 in loss to Oshkosh

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - Freshman Brittany Hedrick scored a season-high 28 points but No. 21 UW-Oshkosh held off Simpson 59-52 at the JustAGame Holiday Classic on Sunday.

Hedrick - whose previous scoring high was 10 points in the season opener - went 10-for-19 from the field and 5-for-9 from beyond the arch for the Storm (5-6).

Taylor Schmidt scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack for the Titans (12-0), who were ranked 21st in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 Coaches' Poll.

Both teams made 20 field goals, but Oshkosh went 15-for-24 from the free throw line while Simpson was just 6-for-8.

The Storm are off until Jan. 8 when they begin Iowa Conference play by hosting Loras.
