Simpson jumps to No. 18 in NFCA Top 25 Poll

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The undefeated Simpson softball team jumped seven spots to No. 18 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Top 25 Poll, released March 11.

The Storm received 73 points in the poll, just behind conference rival Central (76). Simpson has the most wins of any team in the poll.

Simpson is 16-0 on the season, including a 10-0 mark at the Rebel Spring Games in Winter Haven, Fla. The 16-straight wins to start the season marks the second-best start in school history to the 1998 squad that won its first 17. The team is off Wednesday but returns to action Thursday when it faces No. 6 Illinois Wesleyan and Beloit at DiamondPlex.
