Kalinay named IIAC Performer of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Simpson hurdler Dylan Kalinay earned Iowa Conference Track Performer of the Week honors for the period ending Sunday, Dec. 4, the league office announced today.

A junior from Toledo, Iowa, Kalinay posted the third-fastest time in Division III in the 60-meter hurdles at the season-opening Central Holiday Preview on Saturday, Dec. 3. Kalinay finished the race in a personal-best time of 8.26 seconds to place second in the event. He also ran the 60 meters in 7.27 to place 17th as the Storm finished fifth of 12 teams. 

This marks the fourth IIAC Performer of the Week honor for Kalinay, an All-American in the 110-meter hurdles outdoors a year ago.
