Frazier named IIAC Performer of the Week
After posting the No. 10 score in the country in the heptathlon, Simpson junior Isaac Frazier earned Iowa Conference Performer of the Week honors for the period ending Sunday, Jan. 31, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Competing in the heptathlon for the first time this season, Frazier scored a personal-best 4,522 to place second at Central's Dutch Athletics Classic on Saturday, Jan. 31. His score is currently tops in the Iowa Conference and No. 10 in all of Division III.
Frazier won the 60-meter hurdles and high jump during the competition and placed no lower than fourth.
The accolade is the first of Frazier's career, who was a First Team All-IIAC defensive end in football. The last Storm athlete to earn the award was Dylan Kalinay on Feb. 22, 2015.
