Storm sweep Aurora, Knox to close perfect weekend

GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Simpson men's tennis team shut out Aurora and Knox on Saturday to close the opening weekend of the spring season with a perfect 3-0 mark.

The Storm (3-1) started the day with a 9-0 win over Aurora before blanking Knox by the same score. Simpson opened the weekend with a close 5-4 win over Illinois College.

Adam Wieser and Zach Nelson led the Storm by going unbeaten in singles over the weekend. Wieser went 3-0 at No. 3 singles and tamed up with AJ Jackson to go 3-0 at No. 2 doubles. Nelson went 3-0 at No. 2 singles and finished 2-1 with Sam Dykstra at No. 1 doubles.
