Storm edge Illinois College in spring opener

GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Simpson men's tennis team opened the 2018 spring campaign with a 5-4 win over Illinois College in non-conference action on Friday.

The Storm (1-1) came back to take 4 of 6 singles matches after dropping two doubles matches.

Zach Nelson, Adam Wieser, Matt Turnley and Brett Dewerff all earned singles wins to help Simpson come back for the win. Wieser and AJ Jackson earned the lone doubles win, beating Rolando Salazar and Cameron Doerr 8-6 at the No. 2 spot.
