Storm fall to Dubuque, Loras

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson men's tennis team dropped a pair of Iowa Conference matches on Saturday, losing to Dubuque 9-0 in the morning and falling to Loras 7-2 in the afternoon.

Zach Nelson and Gabe Dubberke earned wins in singles against the Duhawks. Nelson won the tiebreaker against Kevin Murphy at No. 2 singles, winning 6-3, 4-6, 11-9. Dubberke won in straight sets over Michael Runde at the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 6-3. 

The Storm (5-13, 0-7 Iowa Conference) close the season Thursday, April 27 against Central. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m. from Buxton Tennis Complex.
