Storm drop season finale against Buena Vista

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson men's tennis team lost to Buena Vista 8-1 in the season finale on Saturday.

Simpson closed the season 5-14 and 0-8 in the Iowa Conference.

"We made some strides this season," first-year head coach TJ Cox said. "I'm proud of the hard work we put in this season and am excited about the future with our returning players and incoming recruits."

The team of Alex Hook and Jeff Armstrong gave Simpson it's lone point of the day, notching an 8-1 win over Mike Sporer and Kyle Shade at No. 2 doubles.

Hook had a near-miss at No. 2 singles, winning the second set against Sporer before falling in the super tiebreaker (6-4, 1-6, 10-3).
