Storm win four events in loss to Coe

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Noah Nelson won two events to lead the Simpson men's swimming and diving team in a 134-68 loss to Coe on Friday.

Nelson won the 200 breaststroke and the 400 IM for the Storm, who fell to 1-3 in dual competition. He swam the 200 breaststroke in 2:15.71 and the 400 IM in 4:19.13. The sophomore has won 7 of 8 individual events this season.

Ryan Gaumer added a win in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 23.03 for his second win in the event this season. He added a second-place effort in the 100 freestyle.

The team of James McKee, Blake Kakacek, Austin Andes and Sam Law took home a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
