Start time set for IIAC Tournament matchup with Wartburg
INDIANOLA, Iowa — Start time for the Simpson men's soccer team's Iowa Conference Tournament meeting with Wartburg has been set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Buxton Stadium.
The third-seeded Storm (14-2-2, 5-2-1) will host the sixth-seeded Knights (8-4-5, 3-3-2) for the second time in six days, as the teams played to a 1-1 draw Sunday, Oct. 22.
Simpson and Wartburg are meeting for the fifth time in the IIAC Tournament, with the Storm holding a narrow 2-1-1 edge. The last meeting came in 2015 when the teams tied 1-1 before the Storm advanced 6-5 on penalty kicks.
