Storm ranked sixth in North Region, receiving votes nationally

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson men's soccer team moved up two spots to No. 6 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches North Region rankings while continuing to receive votes in the D3soccer.com Top 25 Poll.

After debuting in the North Region at No. 8, the Storm (6-0) moved up two spots in the week two poll, released Sept. 19. Head coach Rick Isaacson's squad posted three wins last week, beating Grinnell (4-1), Westminster (5-0) and Principia (2-1) to remain the only unbeaten team in the North Region rankings.

The Storm are receiving 38 votes in the D3soccer.com Top 25, the fourth-most votes of teams outside of the rankings.

Simpson has another busy week with three games, beginning with a trip to Bethel on Wednesday. Simpson hosts Central in the Iowa Conference opener on Saturday then travels to Augustana (Ill.) for a non-conference clash Sunday.
