DUBUQUE, Iowa - Three headers were the difference in the Simpson men's soccer team's 3-0 loss at No. 10 Loras on Saturday.
Ike Bruns had two assists for the Duhawks (5-2-1, 1-0 Iowa Conference), who scored all of their goals off headers. Justin Giacotto (17:30), Bryan irwin (58:06) and Mike Gordon (62:44) led Loras to the win.
The Storm (4-5-1, 0-1) were outshot for just the third time this season in the loss. Simpson took six shots to nine for Loras. Marcus Varnum, Nick Joslyn and Cody Jacobson all put shots on goal.
Zach McEntee made one save between the posts and Jacob Peterson made three in the shutout.
