COLUMBIA, Mo. – A first-half goal by Kyle Collins was the only goal either team could muster as the Simpson men's soccer team lost to Westminster (Mo.) 1-0 Saturday.
Collins took a cross from Tripp Sheehan in the 22nd minute and the Bluejays (5-1) weathered Simpson's second-half barrage to win their fifth straight.
Zach McEntee made seven saves for the Storm (3-3-1), who didn't get off a shot attempt in the first half. Simpson picked up the pressure in the second half, though, outshooting Westminster 13-6 in the final 45 minutes.
Tyler Neumann took a team-high four shots and Nick Joslyn put two of his three shots on goal.
