Men's soccer loses see-saw affair

CONCORDIA, Minn. - Nick Joslyn and Garrett Pochop each scored a goal in their collegiate debut but the Simpson men's soccer team couldn't come up with the final equalizer in a 3-2 loss to UW-Superior at the Cobber Invitational on Saturday.

Gio Rodriguez scored the go-ahead goal and eventual game-winner in the 51st minute for Superior (3-1), the only shot the team attempted in the half.

Joslyn scored on an assist from Marcus Varnum in the 31st minute to tie the contest for the Storm (2-2) after John Levenick gave Superior a 1-0 lead. After giving up the second goal near the end of the first half, Pochop took a feed from Josh Dicken to knot the game up 2-2 at halftime.
