DES MOINES, Iowa - Alexander Ross and Ryan McGowan scored two goals apiece and Grand View beat the Simpson men's soccer team 6-0 on Wednesday.

Ranked No. 2 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, the Vikings (14-2) scored three goals in the first half and three in the second to win their sixth straight. McGowan scored first goal of the game in the 14th minute and made it 3-0 with his second goal, coming in the 23rd minute. Ross found the back of the net in the 52nd and 61st minutes.

"I expect them to challenge for a national title this year, they're that good," head coach Rick Isaacson said of Grand View. "It's our responsibility to learn from this game and use this experience as a motivator to improve."

Luke Aronow made seven saves in the first half and Zach McEntee made three in the second for the Storm (10-5-2), who finished up the non-conference portion of their schedule. Marcus Varnum and Tyler Neumann took two shots apiece on a night when shots were hard to come by, as Grand View held a 20-6 edge.

Simpson has two games remaining in the regular season, beginning with a trip to Waverly to face Wartburg on Saturday. The Knights (13-2-2, 5-0 Iowa Conference) are the lone unbeaten team in league play.
