Storm cap off weekend at Iowa Central Invite

FORT DODGE, Iowa -- The Simpson College men's golf team closed its weekend with a 12th-place performance in the Iowa Central Community College Invitational at Fort Dodge Country Club on Saturday.

The Storm fired a two-day sum 706 after carding a 352 on Friday and closing the event with a 354.

Brendan Bayeur matched a season-best 82 in the first round to finish with a 170 to tie in 58th to pace the squad. Isaac Roe followed Bayuer in 61st after producing a 172. Roe started the event with an 87 on Friday.

Lucas Hemphill ended with a 178 for 69th and Brett Jansen finished right behind Hemphill in 70th with a 186.

Up Next
The Storm will return to action Wednesday, April 21 to host their own invitational. The Simpson Invitational will begin at 10 a.m. at the Indianola Country Club.
