Eaton leads Storm to win at own invitational, Cobb fires hole-in-one

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Freshman Nathan Eaton led Simpson for a second day in a row, carding a team-low 72 to tie for second and lead Simpson to a first-place finish of seven teams at the Simpson Invitational II on Wednesday at Indianola Country Club.

Eaton played steady throughout the day, making 15 pars and firing a birdie on the par-4 eighth. Korbin Sesker placed fifth with a 73, turning in a nearly identical scorecard to Eaton save for a double-bogey on the par-5 third.

Reid Cobb shot a 77 to tie for 11th, Simpson's next-best finish, but that was far from the highlight of his day. The sophomore shot a hole-in-one on the par-3 seventh, the first of his collegiate career.
