Men’s golf concludes opening weekend
WEST DUNDEE, Ill. — The Simpson men's golf team finished in 20th place at the season-opening Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament hosted by Carthage at Randall Oaks Golf Course over the weekend.
Simpson shot 648 on the weekend, rounding out the 20-team field. Illinois Wesleyan won the tournament, shooting 581.
Blake Bender led the Storm on the weekend, carding 159. He opened with a 79 Friday and closed with a team-low 80 Saturday, finishing in a tie for 57th. Andrew Lallier fired the team's lowest round of the weekend with a 78 Friday and finished with an 84, giving him 162 to tie for 76th.
