Lindenman one back, Storm tied for fourth at IIAC Championship

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Trent Lindenman carded a 2-over 74 and the Simpson men's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first round of the 2016 Iowa Conference Championship from Finkbine Golf Course.

The Storm shot 315 as a team, tying them with Dubuque. Luther shot 300 to lead the team race, followed closely by Central (301) and Wartubrg (309). 

Lindenman is tied for third with Luther's Elliot Horst after the first 18 holes at the 6,801-yard layout at Finkbine. Central's Walker Adams and Luther's Andrew Betts lead the field after shooting 1-over 73.

Nathan Molstead shot 7-over 79 (t-15th), Nick Hartman and Korbin Sesker shot 81 (t-23rd), and Shaan Desai shot 83 (t-27th) to round out Simpson's lineup. 

The tournament resumes with the second round Saturday at Finkbine.
