Men's golf in 11th after first round at Saint John's

SARTELL, Minn. – Trent Lindenman carded a 4-over 76 in Saturday's opening round as the Simpson men's golf team sits in 11th place of 20 teams at the Saint John's Fall Invitational.

Simpson shot 316 as a team, two strokes behind Saint John's White and one ahead of Bethel II. Saint John's and St. Thomas are tied for the lead after each shot 297.

Lindenman is tied for 22nd after 18 holes at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course. The tournament concludes Sunday at Greystone Golf Course in Sauk Centre.

Korbin Sesker (78), Nathan Molstead (79), Shaan Desai (83) and Nick Hartman (93) rounded out Simpson's finishers.

The final round begins at 8:30 a.m.
