IIAC Championship First Round suspended

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The first round of the Iowa Conference Men's Golf Championship at Finkbine Golf Course has been suspended with four groups left on the course due to persistent rain and lightning in the area Friday afternoon.

Weather permitting, all remaining players will complete round one beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Round two will commence at 9 a.m. with teams going off the No. 1 tee utilizing the same tee times as Friday's first round.

Simpson is one of three teams yet to complete the first round, along with Central and Dubuque. Only Jimmy Siebert finished his round, carding an 86. Trent Lindenman, Andy Hutchins, Shaan Desai and Nathan Molstead have holes remaining.
