Furious comeback falls short in 100-89 loss to Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa — The Simpson men's basketball team nearly erased a 23-point, second-half deficit but couldn't complete the comeback in a 100-89 loss at Buena Vista on Monday.

Sam Amsbaugh scored 19 points and Jamie Montgomery added 13 off the bench for the Storm (11-7, 4-5 Iowa Conference), who pulled within four points with 3 minutes left in the game after trailing 79-56.
