DUBUQUE, Iowa – Luke Anctil had three hits and one RBI in the 13-inning loss at Dubuque on Friday afternoon. The Storm dropped the game 5-4 in extra innings when the Spartans scored on a walk-off single.
The Storm (5-16, 2-7 IIAC) took the lead in the eighth inning with a RBI single by Nick Carlisle, but Dubuque (11-9, x-x IIAC) tied it up in the bottom with a single to score Tyler Lewan.
Jared Herzog and Trey Kehoe each contributed in the lineup with doubles. Dubuque's Austin McWhite had a three-run homerun in the fifth.
Curt Castenson started on the mound for the Storm, but Devon Veach (0-1) took the loss. Nathan Schneidermann (3-0) earned the win for the Spartans.
