INDIANOLA, Iowa - This weekend's Iowa Conference baseball series between Simpson and Wartburg has been pushed back one day due to the threat of inclement weather.

The four-game series will now be played on Saturday and Sunday (April 2-3) instead of Friday and Saturday (April 1-2). The teams will play doubleheaders (1x7, 1x9) each day beginning at 1 p.m.

Friday's forecast calls for a high of 49 degrees with temperatures dipping into the 30s during the evening hours. Saturday will be sunny and warmer while Sunday calls for a high of 75.

Saturday's first game marks the 2016 home opener for the Storm (4-9, 1-1), who lost to Grinnell 11-5 in non-conference action Thursday. The defending conference champions and preseason favorites, the Knights (7-5, 0-0) will play their first conference games of the season.

All four games will be streamed live on SimpsonAthletics.com. Saturday's doubleheader can also be heard on KNIA 1320 AM/95.3 FM or online at KNIAKRLS.com.
