IIAC Tournament play suspended for Saturday
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Due to continued rainfall in the Cedar Rapids area, the Iowa Conference baseball tournament has been suspended for the remainder of Saturday and will resume Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
Simpson led Wartburg 11-9 in the middle of the fifth inning when persistent showers caused tournament officials to pull the teams from the field. Wartburg will come to bat in the bottom of the fifth when play resumes.
The winner of Sunday's first game will play top-seeded Coe in the first championship game, which will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m.
