Simpson completes three-game sweep of Ozarks

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - Ethan Hale had three hits, Zach Smith drove in two runs and Chris Dorff struck out 10 as Simpson beat Ozarks 5-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Dave Johnson's RBI single in the ninth scored the winning run for the Storm (3-0), who completed a three-game sweep of Ozarks after taking a doubleheader on Friday.

Hale went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Smith went 2-for-4. Dorff picked up his second win of the season on the mound, going 8 innings and allowing three runs - one earned.

Matt Russel recorded the final three outs to get the save.

Simpson is off until March 12, when it travels to Arizona for the Russ Matt Greater Phoenix Invitational.
