Bio
Richard J. Van Pelt was a two-sport athlete for Simpson. He was a four-year letterwinner for the track team from 1978-81 and also lettered for the football team in 1981. He was named Conference MVP in track, and was an All-American placing 6th place in both the 400 hurdles and the 4x400 relay in 1981.
