BIO
Gary T. Hargis pieced together a terrific collegiate career that ultimately ended in a chance to play professionally. The four-year letterwinner and defensive lineman earned all conference honors twice, taking home honorable mention All-America honors as a senior in 1965. He played in the Iowa Collegiate All-Star Game in 1965 and signed a free agent contract with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings in 1967 after playing for the Des Moines Warriors pro team in 1966.
