Bio

Robert Foote was a two-sport athlete for the Redmen, excelling in tennis and men’s basketball from 1972-75. In tennis, Foote was the No. 1 singles player for three years, winning the men’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles championships in the city of Indianola Championship in 1975. A member of the basketball team for three years, his peers voted him the Best Freshman on the team in 1973. As a senior he won the Barborka Award for the best senior student-athlete at Simpson and needed only three years to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology and a teaching certificate. After Simpson, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drake University Pharmacy School and currently serves as the staff pharmacist at Bashas’ Grocery Store in Chandler, Ariz. Robert and his wife, Joyce, have one son, Sam, who attends Northern Arizona University. Robert’s nephew James currently attends Simpson.
