Ryan S. Cooley was a two-sport athlete for Simpson. He was a three-year letterwinner for the football team from 1988-90 and a three-year letterwinner for the baseball team from 1989-91. He earned First Team All-Conference honors for the baseball team in 1989,91. He earned First Team All-Region honors and Third Team All-American honors in 1991. On the football team he earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 1988, and earned First Team All-Conference honors in 1989,90.
