#StormTop10 Moments No. 8: Women's basketball extends winning streak against Central

It's always sweet to beat your rival. It's even sweeter to beat them for 15 years straight.

That's what the Storm women's basketball team has done to Central, extending their winning streak to 32 straight games with a sweep of the season series in 2016-17. Simpson got 24 points from Noreen Morrow in a 73-65 win at home in January and added a 77-68 win in Pella in February behind 22 points and nine boards from Morrow.

The streak began with the first meeting of the 2002-03 season. After dropping two games by a combined three points to the Dutch the season before, head coach Brian Niemuth's squad swept the Dutch in convincing fashion. Simpson won 77-48 at Cowles Fieldhouse and notched a 70-54 victory in Pella en-route to an IIAC title.

During the streak Simpson has won by an average of more than 24 points, ranging from a one-point win in 2003-04 to a 79-point triumph in 2007-08.
